Do the three markets classify companies the same way?
No. Taiwan uses the TWSE/TPEx industry scheme, Hong Kong the Hang Seng Industry Classification (HSIC) and Singapore the SSIC. The schemes differ in both granularity and purpose — Taiwan puts all financials in one class while Hong Kong splits banks, insurance and other financials; SSIC is a statistical classification of economic activity, so "Manufacturing" spans semiconductors through food processing. This site maps them onto one shared sector purely so you can browse across markets.
Is the original classification still available?
